St Michaels Inn, a historic bar, restaurant, and hotel near St. Andrews, wanted a refreshed brand identity to capture its heritage while appealing to a modern audience.
With a focus on elevating its image to reflect the high-quality service now offered, our task was to create a visual identity that would reposition St Michaels Inn to generate renewed interest.

As St Michaels Inn entered a new chapter, the goal was to develop a brand that reflected its rich history and established it as a memorable destination within the hospitality sector. This reimagined identity needed to resonate with both loyal patrons and a new clientele.
Design Strategy
Designed in collaboration with Cat Loots, we designed a distinctive logo and cohesive brand identity inspired by the inn’s roots as an old coaching inn — a resting stop for travellers over the centuries. We complemented the brand with a custom illustration of the inn, creating an own-able asset that adds greater depth to the visual narrative.
The brand identity system is flexible and responsive, designed to maintain its clarity and character across both digital and print formats, ensuring that Sts Michaels Inn remains visually compelling in every setting.
